Battle of Barwon Heads – May 17 UPDATED

Hey all an update on the Battle of Barwon Heads that was scheduled for May 17th … Unfortunately just off the phone with Jarad and he’s decided not to run it this year ;( various reasons but attendance was a critical factor so he’s looking to just do the Great Ocean Paddle each year…
However let’s not despair I don’t see any reason not to hold an impromptu paddle day on the 17th where we have a distance race in the morning using the boat markers in place as turning points ie same as the battle did … 3 laps with a beach start at the jetty so meet same spot last year on Ocean Grove side. Then we can move across the road to rafs early afteroon and run a BOP race again impromptu style … This will only work if we get some interested people so let us know if it’s something worth considering and if your in ? be just like Inverloch   BOBH2015-slider
